“Brewed in the style of the great North German Pilsners. Saaz hops shine through Bohemian malts to produce a crisp, dry-hopped, and citrusy beer. Unfiltered, decoction mashed, dry-hopped, and lagered for five weeks. This ain’t your father’s pilsner.”
And yet, according to the label’s designer, Langley-based Bjauna Sorensen:
“The Potts Pilsner label was designed around the beer style of Pilsner, in that Pilsner beer has always been a ‘working man’ style of beer. Owner Clay Potter wanted a West Coast working man feel to the label and the beer itself. This is why he thought of no other person to represent his creation of Potts Pilsner than his dad Brian Potter. He is shown on the label as he was back in the 60’s and 70’s as a West Coast tree faller.”
