(via) This Art Deco-inspired lobby bar can be found in Singapore’s historic Bugis neighbourhood on the ground floor of the iconic, 24-storey Parkview Square building. Dubbed Atlas, the voluminous, opulent spot is anchored by a library of gin that soars 26 feet above the back bar and contains over a thousand different bottles, some of which are more than 100 years old. The bar also stocks more than 250 Champagne labels.
Gin and Champagne were all the rage during the Gilded Age. These celebratory tipples that defined good living at the time, are now back in fashion in the grandest of ways. The ATLAS Collections feature two of the world’s most remarkable physical collections of these beverages. A labour of love which took over two years to curate and assemble, it includes contributions from generous friends, distillers and vintners from the far corners of the globe.
