The Dishes is a repeating column that asks Islanders to walk us through a map of their ideal day and night on the town. We’re talking breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night cocktails. Tax and tip included.
For this edition of The Dishes, we tag along with Chelsey Rae, Sales Representative at Victoria’s Driftwood Brewery, for a whirlwind crawl of her favourite food and drink spots in and around the city. Buckle up and bring your appetite!
Good morning! What’s for breakfast/brunch?
I do believe Victoria brunches like none other; we have so many delicious options to choose from. A personal favourite is Northern Quarter, they’ve got it dialled and can accommodate larger groups.
Where should we meet for coffee/tea?
Coffee and tea — couldn’t live without em. Hey Happy gets me every time.
Now we’re hungry again. What’s for lunch?
Part & Parcel’s ever changing menu and attention to detail delights. I’m also grooving hard on Dobosala’s unique ingredients and bold flavours.
What if we still have an appetite and a thirst around Happy Hour?
The vibe is always right at Bodega Bar.
What’s for dinner?
Don’t make me choose! But if I had to…the tasting menu at OLO chooses for you and will not disappoint.
Where are you taking us for late night cocktails?
Tight cocktail game at Veneto with some of Victoria’s most cherished tenders of bar. If we’re still thirsting for a nightcap, Cenote will bring it home. Great, now I’m thirsty…
